She has been published in Spotlight on Poverty, Between the Lines, Belt Magazine, National Geographic, The Hill, African American Parent Magazine, the Seattle Times, eHow, the Detroit Free Press, and Flintside.com. She has also worked as a public relations manager for Earth Fare grocery stores.
